Online Piano Courses Just For You
My name is Barrie Evans and this is really more about me than about us.
I started learning to play piano when I was 8. I was keen to learn to play a musical instrument. I lived over the road from my school and my father knew the head teacher quite well. One day when he was talking to her, he mentioned that I wanted to learn to play an instrument. So she suggested the piano. She offered the use of the piano in school to practice so I could see how I got on. Then they could get one of our own.
That was just the beginning!
Later on as I improved, I would enter the piano solo competition in the local Eisteddfod, which is a competitive festival of music and poetry in Wales. I got quite good in the competitions and there developed a friendly rivalry between boy and a girl my age and me. Depending on the adjudicator and what he liked, this determined who would usually end up winning, or at least that was our theory.
For example, if it was Beethoven, I would often win. If it was Chopin, then one of the others would win. If it was neither, then we had be the best on the day. We were very competitive, but loved the challenge.
In my late teens / Early 20's I joined a band and played keyboards for them. It was a great experience and we nearly made it. What will be will be, so I went back into my "day job".
I continued playing the organ at my local church, which was another area of my musical prowess at the time. When I was 18, I took the ARCO (Associate of the Royal College of Organists) exam. I very nearly passed at the first attempt, but unfortunately didn't and more regretfully I didn't try again. I had more musical commitments at the time and this affected the way I moved on.
I carried on in a part time semi-professional role playing keyboards and singing around the clubs in South Wales. Due to other commitments in work, I had to stop and I didn't play for a very long time.
After this a new friend helped me with my first attempt at internet marketing. I wanted to use internet marketing in my business, which was as an electrical contractor. He had a suggestion that made a lot of sense to me. That was promoting and building up a website based on a passion I already had. He told me I could benefit a lot from it if it was successful. And so....
This was why I built a website based on learning to play piano!
I have worked with a lot more online projects since that time, but never forgot my true passion. I remembered the joy that playing music gives me. This is why I set up Learn Piano Online Here so that others can have pleasure from playing this wonderful instrument!
Thank you so much for visiting my website. Have a wonderful day and a fun filled future playing the piano!
All the best,
